A happy future for Reggie
Good news. Once again, I have worked wonders (well, I expect it was my help that did it) and the cute Reggie has found a new home. He'll be having a short luxury break in France and then will be off to a permanent home with loving owners in England. I'm very pleased for him and glad I could assist.

Another dog needs a home
As you know, I want to help local dogs who are less fortunate than I am. My friend Terry sent me this note and asked for my help. Here's what she wrote:
"Can you help me? I came across this cute fellow who has no name, is believed to be 4/5 years old and has been living his life on a five foot leash surrounded by his own excrement. He's never walked or let off, played with or given the time of day other than fed. He has a kennel which he could not use lie in as he had to use it as a toilet when he ran out of space outside! Needless to say he is quite nervous but bursting to give his affection to you. He will need, I’m sure, patience and understanding and a bit of love would not go amiss either.
I have persuaded the owner to at least clean his kennel and outside area, which has been done but this is no solution to his problem. Yes there are thousands of dogs kept like this, but I believe I met this fellow for a reason and to give a life to any one of these poor unfortunate animals is a very worthy thing to do!
"Even if you cannot rehome — let’s call him Reggie for now — you will be helping by passing this appeal forward to friends/family etc and together we may find someone who can give him the life that all dogs deserve."
Please call Terry on 05.63.24.21.46 Thanks from me, Terry and Reggie xxx

Ferney likes the snow
I've heard from my friend Ferney, who likes the snow as much as I do. He said: "My mum took me sledding on Saturday, it was good fun. Everyone sledded downhill and I raced them to the bottom. I won of course! Then I raced them to the top so that they could try again. I had such fun. You really must get your mum to try it too, you live on that big hill so it's perfect."
Here's a photo of him.
Linda and David are quite pleased the snow has gone, but if we get any more I shall definitely ask to go sledding with Ferney.

Let it snow
I really don’t know why the humans don’t
like snow. I love it. OK, it is a bit cold under paw, but if I run around
enough I don’t notice. And it’s great fun to kick lots of it up high, although
I am sorry if it goes in Linda’s face. This morning, I dug around in the snow
enthusiastically, thinking I might find a truffle or two hiding underneath, but
I didn’t. It’s disappointing that I can’t go on my usual walks and I haven’t
seen any of my friends for ages because we’re a bit cut off up the hill where
we live. But I’m sure once the snow has gone we can all get together and laugh
about how much the humans moan about the weather. The humans have to fend for
themselves at times like this – I’m not a mountain rescue dog, despite my
fluorescent jacket.
I also got an email from Benz the kitten. I
know he’s only tiny, but he could be a bit braver and more macho, like me.
Apparently he put his nose out of the door, saw a lot of cold, white stuff and
went back to bed. That cat likes his creature comforts. I’ve been told I
shouldn’t be too hard on him. I’m a lot taller than he is, so I suppose if he
jumped into a pile of snow he might disappear — and he hasn’t got that many
lives left.
I’m now going to try to persuade Linda and
David to help me build a snowdog. That will be fun. I just thought… I hope they
have enough food for me in the cupboard to last a few days.
Here are some photos of me playing and hunting for truffles in the snow.
